We are Girls Giving Grants, the youth initiative of Impact Austin . It is our mission to improve the lives of others through cooperative giving. Our unique and unified vision allows us to transcend conventional grant-making processes. The foundation of our grant-making process relies upon cooperative giving, cooperative research and analysis. We are young philanthropists hoping to make a difference in the world and we have set out to become grant-makers with a very different makeup. We are your daughters, your grand-daughters, your sisters, your nieces, your neighbors. We are changing the face of giving!   

In April 2008, Girls Giving Grants awarded their third grant of $5,700 to the LifeWorks.  The grant will be used to promote the early development and parenting skills of families living in the Shelter for Young Parents and their Children and LifeWorks' Supportive Housing apartments.  Funds will be used to purchase toys, books and mobile bookshelves.
